Canada Soccer announces squad for Para Soccer training camp in Oakville

Canada Soccer will hold a one-day training camp and open tryouts for the Para Soccer National Team in Oakville this Sunday 2 October. The one-day camp brings together 11 eastern-based players from the Para Soccer National Team Program while also opening the door to potential new players for the program.

​Canada’s Para Soccer National Team competes in several global competitions over a four-year cycle, including the International Federation of CP Football’s biennial World Championships. The sport features seven-a-side football for players with cerebral palsy or recovering from stroke or brain injuries.

​Of the 11 players attending the Para Soccer training session, seven of them competed earlier this year at the IFCPF Men’s World Cup Salou 2022: Samuel Charron, Yuri Costa, Dante Del Cul, Nicholas Heffernan, Isaiah Smeaton-Katzenberg, Ryan Watson and Damien Wojtiw. The other four players are Sam Denton, Elias Gerosavas, Benjamin Mowat and Daniel White.
