Canada
Soccer has announced an additional 30 candidates that have completed the
assessment process and have been granted Canada Soccer Coach Education Program
Licences in 2020. In total, 22 A Licence candidates have completed the
requirements of the course and have been granted the Canada Soccer A Licence,
as well as 3 Youth Licence candidates as well as 5 B Licence candidates.

The
Canada Soccer A Licence recipients included former Men’s National Team player,
and current U-14 Toronto FC Academy Head Coach Terry Dunfield, and Canada
Soccer’s Women’s EXCEL Goalkeeping Manager, Mike Norris. In addition, Jason
Blake receives A Licence equivalency for his active UEFA Pro Licence.

The
candidates started their coursework across the 2018 and 2019 coach education
seasons. All candidates completed their assessment using the new video review
process – instituted in 2018 and now mandatory for all Licence assessments due
to the restrictions of in-person gatherings due to the pandemic. As of 2020,
Canada Soccer Coach Education Program Licences are valid for a three-year term.
