Canada Soccer announces 80 clubs as part of its Q4 2021 Club Licensing Program cohort

Canada Soccer has announced the Q4 2021 cohort of new club entrants into its National Youth Club Licensing Program. The addition of 80 clubs includes Quality Soccer Provider and Member Association Level 1 levels of the program in Quebec as well as new entrants from Ontario and Alberta.

“We applaud the efforts of all involved in the work to join
Canada Soccer’s Youth Club Licensing Program which is an ambitious
standards-based classification program implemented to drive club development in
Canadian soccer,” said Dr. Nick Bontis, Canada Soccer President. “The admission
of the remaining Quebec-based clubs and continued growth of the program ensures
that safe sport and inclusivity pillars are embedded in the fabric of clubs and
academies across the country and that participants are in developmentally
appropriate training environments from coast-to-coast.”

Of note, the Quality Soccer Provider designation will become
a requirement of membership starting in 2023 to ensure that all member
organization clubs meet the standards required to fulfill the requirements of
Canada Soccer’s Safe Sport Roster which was unanimously adopted at the 2019
Canada Soccer Annual Meeting of the Members.
