Canada Soccer and Allstate Insurance Company of Canada are
proud to announce a multi-year partnership extension, which renews the support
of Allstate Canada and its Agents for the sport of soccer at every level across
the country. In addition to continuing its position as the official Home and
Auto Insurance partner of Canada Soccer’s National Teams, the Canadian
Championship and Active Start Soccer Fests grassroots program, the expanded
partnership sees Allstate Canada become an official partner of the Canadian
Premier League. The announcement builds upon the tremendous success of the
first five years of the relationship which kicked off in 2016.
“The support provided by committed partners like Allstate
enables Canada Soccer to provide leadership for the Canadian soccer community,
and to achieve our collective objectives to grow and develop the sport,” said
Peter Montopoli, Canada Soccer General Secretary. “Over the course of our
partnership, Allstate Canada have introduced a number of initiatives which have
been key to engaging soccer fans from coast-to-coast and we look forward to
continued collaboration as we embark on an exciting future for the sport in our
country.”
The announcement comes at an exciting time for the sport as
Canada Soccer’s National Teams embark on an important 2021 season. The Women’s
National Team, led by new Head Coach Bev Priestman, are preparing to compete at
the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and build on its back-to-back bronze medal performances,
while the Men’s National Team will begin its qualifying campaign for the FIFA
World Cup Qatar 2022™ led by Head Coach John Herdman.
“Soccer fans are among the
most passionate of all sports fans and the foundation of our arrangement with
Canada Soccer and the Canadian Premier League is to find creative, engaging
ways for that audience to connect with the game they love so much,” says
Marcelo Regen, Vice President of Allstate Brand Innovation & Chief Customer
Officer, Allstate Canada Group. “We’re thrilled to be able to extend our
partnerships and are looking forward to bringing forward additional programming
that benefits the growth of the sport and opportunities for fans to celebrate
The Beautiful Game.”
Allstate Canada will leverage this strategic partnership to
continue its flagship soccer programing which includes the Allstate High
Performance Soccer Clinics series featuring appearances by Canada Soccer
National Team athletes, the ground-breaking Allstate Soccer Show, and the
fostering of strong community connections through Canada Soccer’s Active Start
Soccer Fests. In addition, Allstate will engage fans from coast-to-coast
through content, contests and activations around Canadian National Team and
Canadian Championship matches.
The well-received Allstate Good Hands Award campaigns will
also continue which recognize the ‘top saves’, as voted by fans, made by a
Canadian National Team and a Canadian Premier League goalkeeper, respectively,
each year.
