    "body": "<p>Thanks to its recent performance in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers\u0099, Canada has, for a second month in a row, gained points on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking. Canada gained 30 points and moved up 4 places on the overall ranking to 83rd. Canada however dropped one spot in the CONCACAF ranking, losing eighth place to El Salvador.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bThe FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking looks at each country&rsquo;s international results from the last four years. The ranking takes into account the result, the importance of the match, the strength of the opponent, the regional strength, the time period, and the number of matches per year.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bMatches played more than a year ago are valued 50% of matches played in the last year; matches played more than two years ago are valued at 30% while matches played more than three years ago are valued at 20%.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bCanada cumulated a win and a draw in CONCACAF Round 2 of the FIFA World Cup\u0099 Qualifiers matches in October. Canada opened with a 7:0 away victory over St. Lucia before following up with a 0:0 home draw over Puerto Rico.<br>\u200b<br>\u200bCanada&rsquo;s next two matches are 11 November away and 15 November at home, both against St. Kitts and Nevis. Furthermore, the Netherlands&rsquo; pursuers, Germany, Uruguay and Brazil (up 2), have all managed to close the gap, while Greece (8th, up 3) and Denmark (10th, up 7) are back in the top ten after booking their place at UEFA EURO 2012 in the last round of matches.
