Canada, Honduras, El Salvador, and Dominican Republic have been drawn together in Group B for the group stage of the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship set to be played in Celaya and Irapuato Mexico, from 18 July to 4 August 2024. This will mark Canada’s 25th appearance in the competition, having lifted the trophy twice in program history in 1986 and 1996.

“We're looking forward to heading into Mexico for the 2024 U-20 Championship off the back of some positive performances in the qualifying run. With this new format to the competition, we knew there would be no easy groups and now we have the clarity we needed of the road ahead."

- Andrew Olivieri, Canada Soccer’s Men's U-20 National Team Head Coach and Youth Excel Director.

The eighth edition of the Concacaf U-20 Championship will be hosted at both the Estadio Miguel Alemán Valdés and Estadio Sergio León Chávez. After round-robin play, the two best teams from each group will advance to the competition’s knockout stage. All knockout stage matches (semifinals, third-place match, and final) will be played in a single-match elimination format, with the four semi-finalists qualifying for the 2025 FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup.

Group A – USA, Costa Rica, Cuba, Jamaica

Group B – Honduras, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Canada

Group C - Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Haiti

Canada qualified for the tournament through the Concacaf U-20 Championship Qualifiers with a perfect 3-0-0 record in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago back in February. Canada dominated the group stage scoring 15 goals and conceding none across the 3 games including a 3-0 win in the final group stage match over the hosts, Trinidad & Tobago.

All of Canada’s matches will be broadcast live on OneSoccer. Fans will find extended coverage for the matches across Canada Soccer’s digital channels on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok featuring the hashtag #CANM20.
