    "body": "<p>Canada Soccer&rsquo;s Men&rsquo;s National Team have announced their squad for a November camp in Bahrain that will feature an international friendly test ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022&trade;. The week-long camp and Friday 11 November friendly in Bahrain represents Canada&rsquo;s last get together before the Men&rsquo;s National Team moves into Qatar.&nbsp; Ahead of their opening group stage match at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022&trade; on 23 November against Belgium, Canada will also travel to Dubai for a friendly match against Japan.<br>\u200b<br>\u200bAs the camp falls just outside the official window, the Bahrain camp will predominantly feature players from out-of-season Major League Soccer. The camp provides Canada with an opportunity to acclimatise to the heat and weather conditions in the middle east while also taking part in another important international test against an opponent from outside Concacaf.<br>\u200b<br>\u200bThe away match in Bahrain will be played at the Al-Khalifa Stadium (18.30 local) less than two weeks before Canada&rsquo;s opening match at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022&trade;. It will also be Canada&rsquo;s last international test before the full squad gets together when the official international window opens for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022&trade;.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<strong>CANADA SQUAD</strong><br>\u200bCanadas three goalkeepers for the camp are Maxime Cr&eacute;peau from Los Angeles FC, James Pantemis from CF Montr&eacute;al, and Dayne St. Clair from Minnesota United FC. All three goalkeepers featured in the MLS playoffs, with notably Cr&eacute;peau prepared to compete in the MLS Cup Final on Sunday 5 November.<br>\u200b<br>\u200bAlong with Pantemis, other CF Montr&eacute;al players in the Canada lineup are Zachary Brault-Guillard, Mathieu Choini&egrave;re, Alistair Johnston, Isma&euml;l Kon&eacute;, Kamal Miller, Samuel Piette and Joel Waterman. The eight Montr&eacute;al players, who helped the club set a team record for MLS minutes by Canadians in 2022, reached the Quarter-Finals of the MLS playoffs.<br>\u200b<br>\u200bOther Canadians in the squad are Liam Fraser from KMSK Deinze in Belgium, Raheem Edwards from Los Angeles Galaxy, Jacob Shaffelburg from Nashville SC, Lucas Cavallini from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and Ayo Akinola, Doneil Henry, Mark-Anthony Kaye, Richie Laryea, Lukas MacNaughton, Jayden Nelson and Jonathan Osorio from Toronto FC. For MacNaughton, who completed his first season in Major League Soccer in 2022, this marks his first-ever call up to the Men&rsquo;s National Team.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<strong>CANADA SOCCER&rsquo;S MEN&rsquo;S NATIONAL TEAM</strong><br>\u200bCanada Soccer&rsquo;s Men&rsquo;s National Team are the reigning Kings of Concacaf, having finished first overall in the Concacaf Final Round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers from September 2021 to March 2022. It marked the third time that Canada Soccer&rsquo;s Men&rsquo;s National Team won a Concacaf title, having previously won the 1985 Concacaf Championship and the 2000 Concacaf Gold Cup.
