    "body": "<p>Canada has announced its roster for the upcoming Women&rsquo;s International Friendly match against Sweden on 22 November. Coach John Herdman has selected 21 players for the 12-day camp that opens on 12 November in Phoenix, AZ. The 22 November match will be the third meeting between Canada and Sweden this year.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bThe 2011 Women&rsquo;s International Friendly match will be played at the Grand Canyon University Soccer Field in Phoenix, AZ. The match, which kicks off at 12.00 local (15.00 ET / 12.00 PT), will not be open to the general public. The match was organized as part of Sweden&rsquo;s North American tour.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bAlready this year, Canada and Sweden have a win and a loss against each other. Canada won the first match 1:0 in January in China PR; Sweden won the second match 1:0 in April in Sweden.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bCanada&rsquo;s lineup includes 12 players who participated in the recent XVI Pan American Games Guadalajara 2011. That group helped Canada win its first-ever gold medal in the Pan American Games Women&rsquo;s Football Tournament.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bCanada also features five players who just closed out their club seasons in Sweden. All five took part in Herdman&rsquo;s first camp in September (an international series against USA), but missed the Pan American Games to finish out their 2011 club seasons. Those five returning players are Erin McLeod, Stephanie Labb&eacute;, Carmelina Moscato, Emily Zurrer and Melissa Tancredi.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bAlso included is one player returning from injury (Marie-Eve Nault) and three players arriving from schools in Canada and USA (Laura Ch&eacute;nard from Universit&eacute; Montr&eacute;al and Alyscha Mottershead and Tina Romagnuolo from Syracuse University).<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bFor Mottershead of Brampton, ON (20 years old), this marks her first-ever call-up to the national &ldquo;A&rdquo; team. She participated in numerous youth camps from 2007 to 2008 and was a member of Canada&rsquo;s FIFA U-17 Women&rsquo;s World Cup team at New Zealand 2008.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bSo far this season, Canada has posted 13 wins, four draws and six losses. It marks the second time in national history that Canada has posted 13 wins in a single year. The 22 November 2011 match will be Canada&rsquo;s 24th match of the season, which also ties a national record for international matches in a year.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bSince coach Herdman took control in September, Canada has posted three wins, three draws and one loss.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200bBoth Canada and Sweden are currently preparing for the London 2012 Women&rsquo;s Olympic Football Tournament. Sweden qualified earlier this year while Canada still awaits its qualification tournament in January 2012. The 2012 CONCACAF Women&rsquo;s Olympic Qualifying tournament runs 19-29 January in Vancouver, BC.<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<br>\u200b<strong>2012 CONCACAF WOMEN&rsquo;S OLYMPIC QUALIFYING<br>\u200b<br>\u200bThis coming year&rsquo;s 2012 CONCACAF Women&rsquo;s Olympic Qualifying tournament will take place in Vancouver, BC from 19-29 January at BC Place Stadium. Canada and seven other CONCACAF nations will fight for two available tickets to the London 2012 Women&rsquo;s Olympic Football Tournament.
