Burtini Named as FIFA Ambassador for Women’s Football

Ottawa, Ontario – Former Canadian Women’s World Cup team player, Silvana Burtini was recently named by FIFA’s Committee for Women’s Football to a list of famous female players who will act as women’s football ambassadors for FIFA.

​Burtini, who scored 38 goals in 78 appearances for Canada, retired following the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2003.
