Ottawa, Ontario – Former Canadian Women’s World Cup team player, Silvana Burtini was recently named by FIFA’s Committee for Women’s Football to a list of famous female players who will act as women’s football ambassadors for FIFA.



Burtini, who scored 38 goals in 78 appearances for Canada, retired following the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2003.
