Atlético Ottawa won the 2022 Canadian Premier League regular season title. The third-year organisation clinched the men’s title on the final weekend of the season, in fact clinching the title on Saturday 8 October on the eve of their Sunday season finale. Atlético Ottawa clinched the title with 48 points from 13 wins, nine draws and five losses from 27 matches.

Atlético Ottawa’s 2022 winning lineup featured Miguel Acosta, Keven Alemán, Owen Antoniuk, Zakaria Bahous, Ollie Bassett, Drew Beckie, Sergio Camus, Gabriel Carvalho, Jose Cunha, Omar Darwish, Anthony Domanico, Diego Espejo, Carl Haworth, Nathan Ingham, Chris Mannella, Ben McKendry, Sean Melvin, Vladimir Moragrega, MacDonald Niba, Iván Pérez, Zachary Roy, Malcolm Shaw, Abdoul Sissoko, Ballou Tabla, Maxim Tissot, Zachary Verhoven, and Brian Wright. The team is coached by Carlos González.

Atlético Ottawa close out their 2022 regular season on Sunday 9 October against York United FC. Ottawa clinched the 2022 title after challengers Pacific FC lost their season finale 0:1 to Calgary’s Cavalry FC. Atlético Ottawa, Cavalry, Pacific FC and Forge FC Hamilton are all heading to the 2022 playoffs, with the standings to be confirmed after Forge FC play their final match on Sunday afternoon against Halifax’s HFX Wanderers FC.

Atlético Ottawa have of course already set franchise records in 2022 for points, wins, and goals scored. Just last season, they finished last in the league standings with 26 points, six wins and 30 goals scored across 28 matches. Looking ahead to the 2022 playoffs, Atlético Ottawa will play away in the first leg of the CPL Semifinals on 15 or 16 October and then play at home in Ottawa in the return leg on Sunday 23 October.
