The Canadian Soccer Association wrapped up another productive weekend of meetings, this time in the nation’s capital of Ottawa, ON. The weekend meetings included both an executive meeting on the Friday and a Board of Directors meeting which ran Saturday and Sunday.
Amongst a number of issues that were discussed throughout the weekend were the Association’s two current priorities, the new strategic plan and the hiring of two senior staff members – technical director and general secretary. The strategy includes implementation of a new long-term development plan called Wellness to World Cup.
Once completed the strategic plan will be the Canadian Soccer Association’s new blueprint for the next five years. The plan will continue to receive significant discussion over the next several months leading up to the Annual General Meeting being held in St. John’s, NL, in early May.
The weekend meetings also coincided with the launch of the Association’s new quarterly newsletter, the adidas Boot Room. The first edition was posted online at www.CanadaSoccer.com/eng/bootroom.
