Association holds referee education program in Halifax

The Canadian Soccer Association held a two-day field education session for referees in Halifax, NS. The two-day event ran 15-16 July in advance of the 2012 All Stars Girls tournament.

Twenty-four officials from eight provinces attended the education sessions. The sessions were led by the Association’s Director of Refereeing Tiger Liu with the assistance from the tournament’s assessors, Tiberio de Frias, Jean Thompson, Amato De Luca and Carman King.

Beyond the two-day session, nightly education sessions will be held throughout the 2012 All Stars showcase event. Further on-field exercises will be held during the off-day of the tournament.
