Association continues to move forward on strategic plan

The Canadian Soccer Association’s next general meetings will take place in two weeks from 14-16 March in Ottawa, ON. The weekend meetings include an Executive Committee meeting on Friday and the Board of Directors meeting on Saturday and Sunday.

As part of the weekend agenda, the Association’s new strategic plan will again be discussed by executive members and board directors. After the last meetings in January, each of the provincial and territorial members set out to engage their local membership on the strategic plan. Key stakeholders from across the country were asked to submit their initial comments on the framework for the end of February.

“The development of our new strategic plan has been a top priority for the Association as it will play a major role in our direction for the coming years,” says Canadian Soccer Association Chairman of the Board, Dr. Dominic Maestracci. “It is important to engage all of our membership in the process which has been a positive step for the soccer in Canada.”

The Canadian Soccer Association, in partnership with its members and all its corporate partners, is dedicated to the growth and development of soccer for all Canadians at all levels. The Canadian Soccer Association is also dedicated to providing leadership and good governance for the sport. The Canadian Soccer Association’s goals include providing opportunities to all members from participation at the grassroots level to the FIFA World Cups, encouraging positive values in all aspects of the sport, and being recognised as a major player in the sport.
