Sinclair recently reached the remarkable milestone of
scoring her 185th international goal in an 11:0 win over St. Kitts & Nevis
at the 2020 Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship. She first tied
the all-time record with the winning 1-0 goal in the 7th minute (penalty kick)
and then scored the world record-breaking goal in the 23rd minute for a 4-0
lead. On her second goal, it was a Jessie Fleming interception followed by an
Adriana Leon assist that led to the Sinclair right-footed, record breaker in
Edinburg, Texas on Wednesday 29 January.
The Canada Soccer Hall of Fame, which recognizes the
contributions of soccer to the athletic and cultural institution in Canada,
celebrates achievements as well as preserves and commemorates the history of
our game. After the match, the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame secured Sinclair’s
