2023 Canadian Championship Final set for Wednesday 7 June in British Columbia

Vancouver Whitecaps FC will host CF Montréal in the 2023 Canadian Championship Final on Wednesday 7 June at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Vancouver Whitecaps FC reach the final after 3:0 win over Pacific FC in the semi-final stage while CF Montréal reach the final after a 2:0 win over Forge FC.

​This year marks the 16th edition of Canada Soccer’s Canadian Championship, the nation’s highest club competition. The expanded 2023 format features 14 clubs for the first time: eight clubs from the Canadian Premier League, three clubs from Major League Soccer, and league winners from League1 BC, League1 Ontario and League1 Québec. Winners of the Canadian Championship lift the Voyageurs Cup and qualify for Concacaf Champions League.

Two-time champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC have reached the 2023 Final undefeated in back-to-back rounds with a 4:1 away win over York United FC followed by a 3:0 away win over Pacific FC in the Semi-Finals. Vancouver Whitecaps are looking to defend their 2022 Canadian Championship title.

​CF Montréal have reached the Canadian Championship Final after going undefeated across all three rounds in the 2023 competition. They won 2:0 at home against Vaughan SC in the Preliminary Round, beat Toronto FC 2:1 away in the Quarter-Final and won 2:0 over Forge FC away in the Semi-Finals.
