    "body": "<p>Canada Soccer will host the Official Draw for the 2022 Canadian Championship&nbsp;tonight on 9 March&nbsp;featuring 13 clubs including reigning winners CF Montr&eacute;al. The&nbsp;first-ever&nbsp;live&nbsp;Draw event&nbsp;will feature the participation of Canadian Soccer legends Dwayne De Rosario and Patrice Bernier and&nbsp;will&nbsp;be hosted by OneSoccer&rsquo;s Andi Petrillo&nbsp;with commentary provided by Oliver Platt.</p><p>In addition, the live&nbsp;Draw event will feature comments and reaction from around Canadian soccer with guests from participating clubs. Fans will be able to follow&nbsp;all of&nbsp;the action&nbsp;live on OneSoccer (OneSoccer.ca and youtube.com/OneSoccer) starting at 21.00 ET / 18.00 PT as part of OneSoccer&rsquo;s programming leading into CF Montreal&rsquo;s Concacaf Champions League Quarterfinal match against Cruz Azul.</p><p>Canada Soccer&nbsp;recently&nbsp;announced that this year&rsquo;s schedule for the Canadian Championship will run from&nbsp;the&nbsp;preliminary round in May through to the Final in July.</p><p>Fans will find extended coverage for the Canadian Championship across Canada Soccer&rsquo;s digital channels on Facebook, Instagram,&nbsp;Twitter,&nbsp;and YouTube featuring the hashtag #CanChamp.</p><p>The 13 clubs will be drawn from four different pots with knock-out matches to be played across the First Round (10 clubs), the Quarterfinals (eight clubs), the Semifinals (four clubs), and the Final (two clubs).</p><hr /><h4 id=\"pot-a-west\" ><strong>Pot A (West)</strong></h4><p>Vancouver Whitecaps FC<br>\u200bCalgary&rsquo;s Cavalry FC<br>\u200bFC Edmonton<br>\u200bWinnipeg&rsquo;s Valour FC</p><hr /><h4 id=\"pot-b-east\" ><strong>Pot B (East)</strong></h4><p>Forge FC Hamilton<br>\u200bYork United FC<br>\u200bAtl&eacute;tico Ottawa<br>\u200bHFX Wanderers FC</p><hr /><h4 id=\"pot-c-east\" ><strong>Pot C (East)</strong></h4><p>Guelph United FC<br>\u200bCS Mont-Royal Outremont</p><hr /><h4 id=\"pot-d-bye\" ><strong>Pot D (Bye)</strong></h4><p>Pacific FC<br>\u200bToronto FC<br>\u200bCF Montr&eacute;al</p><hr /><p>Across the four rounds of the 2022 Canadian Championship, the First Round will be scheduled from 10-12 May, the Quarterfinals will be scheduled from 24-26 May, the Semifinals will be scheduled from 21-23 June, and the Final will be scheduled in July.</p><p>Canada Soccer&rsquo;s Canadian Championship, also known as the Battle of the North, is the nation&rsquo;s highest men&rsquo;s domestic competition featuring clubs from coast to coast across the country, notably professional teams in Major League Soccer and the Canadian Premier League as well as league winners in both League1 Ontario and Qu&eacute;bec&rsquo;s PLSQ (Premi&egrave;re ligue de soccer du Qu&eacute;bec). Winners of the 2022 Canadian Championship lift the Voyageurs Cup and qualify to the annual international competition, Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League.
