Canada Soccer is pleased to announce that hosting applications
\u200bare now being accepted for the 2022 Active Start Soccer Fests program which
\u200bwill mark the 26thseason of the country’s largest and longest
\u200brunning grassroots soccer program. Following a condensed 2021 season due to the
\u200bongoing pandemic, Canada Soccer continues to prioritize the safety of staff,
\u200bvolunteers, players and parents and is looking forward to supporting the 2022 Active
\u200bStart Soccer Fests program in accordance with local public health guidelines.
\u200bClubs looking to host an Active Start Soccer Festival in 2022 can now apply,
\u200bhowever, it should be noted that all clubs must ensure they are following their
\u200brespective Member Association’s guidelines for Return-to-Play, as well as all relevant
\u200bpublic health authority guidelines.
As Canada’s largest national grassroots soccer program,
\u200bcommunity soccer club administrators, coaches and volunteers are
\u200bencouraged to apply online today to host a fun-filled event in your
\u200bcommunity. With the festival schedule expected to fill-up quickly,
\u200bprospective hosts are encouraged to submit their applications early to secure
\u200btheir desired festival date.

Canada Soccer’s Active Start Soccer Fests have supported
\u200bcommunity soccer activity for more than two decades and reached over four
\u200bmillion Canadians through the delivery of financial grants, and promotional and
\u200btechnical resources to clubs from coast to coast to coast. Since its’
\u200binception, the program has distributed over one million dollars directly to
\u200bcommunity clubs across the country.

In addition to the financial and technical support provided to
\u200ball festival hosts, the program’s corporate partners enhance the festival
\u200bevents through the provision of giveaways, facilitation of appearances by
\u200bCanadian National Team athletes in select markets, and the implementation of
\u200bunique technical programming at select festivals. Canada
