    "body": "<p>Canada Soccer&rsquo;s 2021 Canadian Championship Final will be held at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT on Sunday 21 November at Montr&eacute;al&rsquo;s Stade Saputo. Hosts CF Montr&eacute;al look to repeat as champions from 2019 against Toronto FC who are seven-time winners. It will be the third time in the past five years that Toronto and Montr&eacute;al have faced each other in the Final. The match will air live and exclusively on OneSoccer, available as a linear channel on Telus&rsquo;s Optik TV (Channel 980) as well as online at OneSoccer.ca, through the OneSoccer app and on the fuboTV Canada platform.</p><p>&ldquo;The Canadian Championship is the pinnacle event for<br>\u200bprofessional clubs in Canada with a direct-entry to the 2022 Concacaf Champions<br>\u200bLeague and an expanded footprint with 13 clubs across four leagues,&rdquo; said<br>\u200bCanada Soccer President Nick Bontis. &ldquo;We look forward to crowning a Champion in<br>\u200b2021 and wish to congratulate all participating teams in 2021 under fluid<br>\u200bcircumstances in respect of COVID-19.&rdquo;</p><p>CF Montr&eacute;al were the winners of the 2019 Canadian<br>\u200bChampionship and are the defending champions pending the playing of the 2020<br>\u200bCanadian Championship Final between Toronto FC and Forge FC that was suspended<br>\u200bdue to COVID-19.</p><p>CF Montr&eacute;al earned their place in the 2021 Canadian<br>\u200bChampionship Final by defeating Forge FC 0:0 (7:8) at Tim Hortons Field on 27<br>\u200bOctober. The teams finished 0:0 after 90 minutes at it took 11 shooters to<br>\u200bdetermine the winner with CF Montr&eacute;al GK Sebastian Breza able to do what Forge<br>\u200bGK Triston Henry was unable to; score a PK winner to place his team in the 2021<br>\u200bCanadian Championship Final. Toronto FC advanced after defeating Pacific FC 2:1<br>\u200bat BMO Field on 3 November. Jozy Altidore and Jacob Shaffleburg gave Toronto FC<br>\u200ba first half lead that Pacific was unable to overcome despite a late goal by<br>\u200bAlejandro Diaz.</p><p>CF Montr&eacute;al and Toronto FC, as well as Forge FC entered the<br>\u200bcompetition in the Quarter-Final Round. Toronto FC posted a 4:0<br>\u200bvictory to move past CPL&rsquo;s York United FC at BMO Field in Toronto, and Pacific<br>\u200bFC moved into their first Canadian Championship Semi-Final defeating Cavalry FC<br>\u200b0:1 away at Spruce Meadows in Calgary to cap off a 22 September Quarter-Final<br>\u200bRound tripleheader.</p><p>The 2021 Canadian Championship Preliminary Round opened with<br>\u200ban all-Alberta affair that saw Cavalry FC defeat Al Classico rivals FC Edmonton<br>\u200b2:0 at Edmonton&rsquo;s Clarke Stadium on 15 August.
